The KBR 925 is designed for ballast work on all types of track. Superb visibility in every direction, especially the wing areas, makes it the ideal machine for final profiling. The one pass transfer plow used in conjunction with the wing makes transferring from shoulder to shoulder a one pass operation, while leaving one shoulder profiled. The reversible wings allow work in either direction so no movement is lost. The broom box gives excellent service life, and the standard reversing valve allows ballast to be swept away from switches and road crossings.
260hp Cummins tier III engine, Danfoss hydraulic valves, hydrostatic pump for propel and vane pumps for broom and control functions, 6 speed power shift transmission, four-wheel drive, clasp style brakes with fail safe brake chambers, mount-on truck style axles and a turntable.
The KBR 925 cab has unsurpassed operator visibility. The tilt feature provides improved access to major components. The side mounted heater and hydraulic drive A/C provides a clean roof line, with no components on roof that require maintenance. The pressurized cab is sound insulated, has improved headroom, standard joystick controls, and comfortable operator’s seat.
Sweep width – 110” (2794 mm); reversible; single motor belt drive. Deflector includes high performance baffles for quick transfer of excess ballast to the track shoulders. Deflector assembly is hydraulically raised and lowered. Available options include water misting dust suppression.
A one pass, fabricated box frame style plow with 1” T-1 plow blades, blade locks and heavy duty grader blades and skid. Blade operation is hydraulically controlled from the cab. Plow incorporates a power down feature for re-railing purposes. Available options include: lockable storage area in the plow frame, concrete grader blade kit, carbide coated skid.
1.5 cu.yd. capacity; T-1 steel construction; 36” (914 mm) wide; designed for free flow of ballast. Wing template doors reach out to 13’-0” (3962 mm) from centerline of track to reclaim ballast. Optional articulating template doors.
